I suppose it could happen. People re-enter relationships all the time that are far worse than simply dealing with a controlling partner. But I don't recommend that someone bother with giving a controlling person another chance. Someone who truly loves you will not try to control you.

It's possible, but I would move a lot slower to make sure she has really changed, depending on how severe it was.
Were you really that bad? I mean, were the rules "Don't go out and get drunk every night" and "Don't hit on women". I guess I'm asking if the rules were 'general dating rules' or were you really over controlling.

Hi K2U, You have lost him.You cannot control anyone with rules. It sounds like you don't trust him.If you trust him you wouldn't have made-up stupid rules. If any man try to control me with any rules or anything,I would be out of there and never come back. This is no way to have to live. Most people will not live that way.

If a woman thinks of a man as "Her man" then she's doesn't deserve to have a man in her life. Men are not possesions just as women are not. Being controling is a type of abuse and no one has to deal with that or return to it.

I doubt. Don't be a domineering person.A man with principle won't consent to it and don't like to be tied up that way. For couple there must be equal rights for both of you.
