In the Bible...KJV, it says that when Isreal become a nation that generation should not pass before the coming of the Son Of man... Well Isreal became a nation in the 1950's as best as I can understand... may not be the accurate year.... But that is as close as i can remember.... And that generation is my parents generation which is ages 50-60 years of age..... I look at how FAST things have progressed through the last 75 years..... Out of the 2006 A.D. the earth has been in existance...... it has not been so long ago that there was No television, No Electricity, No, telephones....Look at how fast we have progressed through technology.... Does this not let you see, that jesus is going to step out on the clouds and call his Children home.... And it isn't that we are smarter then others before us in time.... It is Prophecy being fullfilled FAST...... What do you think?

I know that NO ONE knows the day or hour, And I am NOT in anyway trying to predict the return of Jesus...I am asking with all that has taken place in the past 75 years, isnt that evidence enough to see that there is a GOD and there is going to be a KING step out on the clouds????? As for me and My House we shall serve the Lord.... And I Hope he does come soon..... And there is NO doubt in My mind, that it is at hand....I just hope the rest of you will be ready.....

gosh it seems like a lot of people are pretty skeptical about what you are saying but i am in agreement with you. now i am not very knowledgeable on endtimes prophecies but i would not be completely surprised if Jesus' second coming were to occur in this age.
With that said, it is not for us to predict or prepare for the exact date of Jesus' second coming but every day we should live as if it were the last.

What about when Jesus and others in the NT said that the coming again would happen during the current generation (meaning the speaker's)? You my dear, have fallen victim to something called Premillenial Dispensationalism. It is a condition caused by attending fundamentalist or evangelical churches, reading crappy derivative christian novels (e.g. the entire "Left Behind" series) or late night TBN watching. Wackos have been predicting the end of the world for as long as history remembers. Let me ask you this: are we still here? Than why do we keep believing them?

Just my humble thoughts, so that those self-proclaimed wise girls do not laugh at your and my Bible.

Maybe the Geologist needs to be familiar with Lord Kelvins work, but that besides the point.
Although I do think there are some recent signs, (gay marriage) being allowed which will inevitably lead to the destruction of mankind. We cannot speculate as to when.

It became a nation in 1948, 58 years ago and a generation is based on 25 years roughly,. That's why I was Raptured 33 years ago. You say the world ain't gone yet?!!!!

I don't believe that God would create the earth and then destroy all of His people, so my thoughts are that it's not true.
