GOD is GOD, he is not confined within any human terminology or definition. I believe there is only one source, so I believe that there is only one GOD. He is good, life giving and does not ask people to kill in his name.
Say a person is living in an isolated island since he was young, never had any contact with the outside world, never heard of Islam, Christianiaty, Budhism etc.. But instinctively, he knows what is good and bad and lived his live well. When he dies, where do you think he will go? To a Christian heaven, an Islam heaven? I say he still goes to heaven..

The religion of Abraham (peace be upon him) because it is the only faith that believe in One God (before Islam). Judaism rejects Jesus which turns me off to Judaism and Christianity believes in trinity which turns me off to Christianity.
The most important belief in human nature is belief in One God.
But in the end I have to say, Thank God Almighty for Islam!

Belief in one God.. But this hypothetical question should not be asked.
[002.135] And they say, "Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided." Say (to them O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), "Nay, (we follow) only the religion of Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Hanîf [Islâmic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allâh (Alone)], and he was not of Al-Mushrikûn (those who worshipped others along with Allâh – see V.2:105)."
[002.136] Say (O Muslims): "We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ'îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsâ (Moses) and 'Isâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm)."
[002.137] So, if they believe in the like of that which you believe then they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allâh will suffice for you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower

Well, if that was the case, we would choose any religon in which no partners are ascribed to GOD. THat counts christianity out since they say Jesus is the son of god, which obiviously is plain lame. I doubt there is a religon which directly or indirectly doesnot ascribe partners to GOD except Islam. So proly wouldnt be following any paticular religon except that belive in one GOD.
