anyone else afraid of old people driving? The other day, I noticed an old person driving so nervously, that his car kept drifting along the lanes. There was also some glare but still. He was an elderly person. Shouldn't they get another driving test because its rediculous how there are soo many old people driving...driving with them is just scary

Its a bit scary if you ask me. Old people drive too slow and somehow forget to use signals as well as look before they change lanes. They dont need to be in an accident, they can just cause them. Then again, teenagers are trusted with a 2500 pound car before they can even gamble. Id say once you reach a certain age, lets say 50, you should be retested thoroughly (this means on freeways and highways). And then you get retested every 5-10 years after that depending on the driving record if you have not caused any accidents. The should raise the age to 18 to even tough a steering wheel and set a specific age to where old people just cant get behind the wheel anymore. Lets just call it forced retirement from the wheel. Until then, hell yeah im afraid!

Well it's not just old people, but yes there are alot of scary drivers now days.. but I agree there should be a driving test like every 2 or 3 years after a certian age. I work at a nursing home and we have a resident who is 93 and he still drives... that scares me to drive at the same time as him.. and they keep giving him a driver's license..

I had the right of way, and an elderly person did not stop for the stop sign and kept going. if I did not think fast and step on my brake I would of hit her car. she then goes and smiles at me and waves. we are all going to get older and I think they should have all the older ones take a another driving test. I also know someone who backs out of a parking spot and does not look behind to see if anyone is walking behind her car. one day (heaven forbid) a small child will be behind her car. she also drives real real real slow

yes i agree with you..some old ppl nearly cause accidents coz they drive too slow..on the other hand some younger ppl drive too reclessly...maybe an older person also can have an heart attack at the wheel ect...i think everyone should have another driving test after 25 yrs driving...coz alot of things change in that time on the road...

I think old people must not drive a car in this age. Becouse they have weaknesses in eye and back and also in the mental. Its better if they nominate a person to drop them whereever they want espacially their sons. So, my point view is against of old people driving.

As older people age, they loose their hearing, eye sight and more. Driving requires a persons 100% attention especially when there is an emergency vehicle approaching.

It is scary but how would you feel if someone took away your keys? They should have a test but should have a fair transportation alternative. They are the ones who keep driving privilages going for us and we will for our kids.

I do alot of traveling in my job and I agree, however I think that when they hit the age of 65 they should have to drive their age or lose the license.
