Just wondering what the best way to get upgraded to first class on your honeymoon would be? I know you should wear nice lookikng clothes, but what else will get you an upgrade?

Even when you are on a honeymoon the chances of an upgrade is mininal at best, having said that here are some pointers you just never know if you will have a check in clerk who is feeling nice at the time
*do not wear thongs
*do not wear jeans
* wear long pants (guy)/ dress (girl)
* wear shoes that you would wear to a social event (nothing scruffy)
* ask with a please
* dont be overbearing or rude when they tell you no
that is the basics
I have had it happen a few times now but it is something you should not bank on.

Normally, they upgrade if the flight is not full. Upon check in, request the attending staff that you are interested to an upgrade. Much better if you have a mileage or frequent flyer card of that particular airline. Explain that you are honeymooners, i think they will prioritize you on the upgrade.

There is no chance they will upgrade you to first class. No matter what you wear or say. Sometimes, when the Busniess class is empty they do upgrade, but from what I heard lately, the business class is also usually fully booked. Either you pay for first class or make yourself another lovely holiday for the difference between tourist and first class.
