My wife got a Cathy Smith exercise tape. It's been really good for her because there are cardio exercises, plus toning exercises. She also has the Cindy Crawford one (I like to watch that one! :-)) that is very good as well. She lost over 10 lbs. (she's like 110 now) and looks great!

You need to start out slow, with some stretching exercises. Get a good video tape on beginners exercise. Walking is the best exercise you can get. When you've got a routine with this, at least 3x per week for 30 minutes each, then advance to some ab crunches (sit ups). Careful with these, if not done properly, could hurt your back. Keep knees bent, hands across chest and raise your head and shoulders half way off the floor. No need to go all the way up. When you feel your abs tighten, then that's enough. I could tell you all kinds of stuff, but you need someone to show you how. Go the a gym or Y and get professional assistance.

The first thing you need to do is to look at your diet. Your probably aware of the things you eat that are good for you as well as the food you eat that is not so good for you. Eat your protein(lean) and make sure you eat your fruits, vegetables, salads, etc. Cut back on your carbs but you cannot eliminate carbs completely out your diet because your body needs carbs Drink lots of water and cut back on your sugar intake. For exercise, cardio is the most important. Don't kill yourself at first. Start with 15 minutes of a light jog, walk when you get tired. Do the fifteen minutes every day for a week and then increase the time but don't worry about how fast you are moving. Your goal is to burn calories and fat. I strongly recommend any type of boxing or kickboxing training. You burn calories/fat and build muscle. When it comes to stomach exercises, do not worry about how may crunches or sit ups or leg raises you can do. Quantity is not important but Quality is. You need to do stomach exercises slowly so you can feel the burn and start off with five minutes of doing slow stomach exercises. You want to increase the amount of time as time goes on. While you are exercising, make sure you are breathing properly, inhale through your nose and exhale out of your mouth. Don't get discouraged or frustrated, do the best you can and don't give up and I'm sure you will get some results that make you smile.

Running is a very good exercise. Maybe run as much as you can then walk for 15 minutes or so. You will see an improvement in a few weeks if you stick to it

If you want to lose weight and improve your overall health you'll need to do some cardiovascular exercise. Squats and situps are good for tightening the muscles in the thighs and abdomen.
