What states have low or the lowest property taxes? I live in Wisconsin where they can easily run 6000 a year and thats sort of high I would like somewhere where they are at least under 4000.

Louisiana! My sister pays 108.00 (YES) for a big house!

$6000/yr on a home of what value? At the rate I pay, that would be a $500,000 home. Without some context, the actual amount is meaningless.

here in the boroughs of new york city (ie queens, bronx, brooklyn, staten island) there are plenty of houses with property taxes below $4000. however the real estate costs a fortune!

try Mexico ( there are reasons for lower taxes - usually a less desirable area )
