sex changes are about sexual identity, not orientation, that would be like you changing to a woman because you fell in love with a lesbian--is love enough for you to change who you are completely and become a man trapped in a woman's body?--admittedly for a select few, this might be an option, but overall, your logic is flawed

That's an ignorant question. What if your wife (assuming you have/had one) had told you she would only marry you if you got a lengthy, painful surgery taking a part of your body by which you have given and recieved a lot of pleasure? What if she told you that you needed to change everything you have known about yourself and force yourself into a different role/position in society when you were content with yourself before you met her?

How is a relationship built on true love if you have to change everything to fit into it?

I have a better solution. Why don't we allow all people to honor and priveledge of celebrating and protecting their love the way we straight people are allowed to? Why do we feel so threatened by something that is (not that) different from what we have.

Get over yourself. You are embarrassing straight people everywhere.

A person that has to change his inner identity for love? You have a very twisted view on what Love means.

I hope you never fall in love with a lesbian, it's seems to be a long and painful surgery to make a woman out of you.

Oh, by the way, wouldn't it be easier, cheaper and more fair to simply make gay marriages legal? Sounds at least easier than your idea. You question shows me that you're somehow in favour of it already.

Because maybe they like being men. People who have sex changes feel they have been born with the wrong body and want to be of the oppisite sex. There is a differenc between being gay and wanting a sex change.

if they were the majority and not the minority you might be the one that was having your civil rights denied. and maybe you would be given a sex change so that you would fit what society wants you to be.

no this is not an acceptable alternative. they have rights . every right that we do.

My question is why do you keep asking such ridiculous questions?

Btw, you're reported for the word "homos". When you stop insulting homosexuals with your language on almost every post you make, I'll be more than delighted to stop reporting you.

It raises an interesting point really. Basically, the only thing keeping that couple apart is their genitals. So, why do we base civil rights on body parts? How silly is that?

You are warped. So tell me if you fell in love with a man would you have a sex change just to marry him?

The solution is to leave them alone and let them marry, just like other citizens.

Is that a serious question? You voted for Bush both times, didn't you? If you want to get into heaven, you might consider tolerance as a first step...
