Hinduism in a nut-shell tells that there is only one supreme consciousness which can be called God

This God manifests as universe and different type of gods(angels) to run the universe

Hinduism believes in Evolution- but it takes not the evolution of bodies but of the Mind..which in turn changes bodies

Hinduism has 2 parts - one is mythology...which has some craps like other religions, and contain some rituals

The 2nd part of hinduism deals purely with philosophy and tries to understand the mysteries of universe, life, and god

Our main scriptures are Vedas, Upanishadas and Gita.

There were some bad publicity abt hindus by Christian missionaries...like Sati, caste systems widows etc..but these are not part of hinduism, but are the social evils of India as a whole

Hindus believe that the soul awakens in chemicals..and by evolving reaches human and is advancing towards divinity

Hindus also believe in Re-birth. After death the astral body goes to heaven or hell according to their deeds(karma) and after its fruits are over, the astral body takes another physical body to learn new lessons.

This circle of re-births continues till we merge into god, the Supreme consciousness.

HInduism gives full liberty to its followers to worship and love God in any form, like Father, Guru, Mother, or like friends.

There are 3 main branches of Hinduism....Shaivas who worship Shiva as supreme God, Vaishnavites who worship Krishna or vishnu as God and Shakta who worship God as Mother.

They are not different Gods, but different names for the same Supreme Consciousness !!

Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world.

all i know is that:

Hindus regard cows as sacred that's why they don't eat it and they allow it to pass by first on the road rather than to beep them so that the will get away.

Hindus believe in karma, the energy that is produced from our actions and when it is bad, it will stick on us all over our life.

Hindus believe in reincarnation, which means rebirth. when we die, for example, your soul will take on another form, maybe another human being, animals, insects, plants and even a rock!

Hindus, like Buddhists, are following a set of rules which will help them deliberate from bad karma and reincarnation. in this, they will achieve hinduism's ultimate purpose: Moksha, the place of the gods.

Hindus have a caste system, an age-old system which classifies the status of a person in a society. There are four of them and i don't know the names but what i know is that the lowest class are the slaves and the like. those who are outside the caste system are called untouchables who are considered unpure. the caste system is the main problem of Hinduism today because it provides inequality and discrimination of people but somehow, modern Hindus are trying to revise this system.

Hinduism is practiced in India, Bali in Indonesia and all countries with sizeable Indian population, also known as "Global Bollystan".

well i hope you understood.

Not Nirvana, Moksha. Hinduism is a monotheistic religion that believes that one divine lifeforce called Brahman manifests itself as life on earth, and the goal is to realize that you are just one small piece of a huge being that encompasses everything else. This is called the infinity of being. There are many symbolic deities that represent different aspects of Brahman (i.e. Brahma (creator), Vishnu (preserver), Shiva (destroyer). Hindus also believe in reincarnation and that Vishnu returns to earth as avatars in order to help humanity. They also believe that the universe is caught in a cycle of creation and destruction...

many view hinduism as polytheism.but hindus pray to one god who takes many forms.its like a parliament with different ministers for different purposes.hindus are not supposed to eat meat.they see them as animals with souls.i know a lot of people view the deites of hinduism as evil.but if you go to the hindu temple in india and south america(where i witnessed it),a lot of people with all kind of ailments go there and they are relieved.i once see a blind boy see again after months of penance.so its is in no way evil.its a complicated religion i must admit.you can study it for ten lifetimes and you wont complete it.it is the worlds oldest religion and every other religion was derived from hinduism.

Its all about confusion, being neither here nor there, believing in everything and yet nothing. That there is no unifying tenet in Hinduism except polytheism defies common logic which states that there has to be A TRUTH that defies all falsehoods, and that multiple exclusive theories cannot be true at the same time.
