Is there fun in the world? I guess that depends on your definition of fun honey. Everyday I do something fun. Something that makes me laugh, makes me want to take a mental photo so I never forget that moment in time. Last night I almost died in a car crash (horrible ice storm, semi in front of me lost control), Today I returned to the scene of the crime, thanked God for another day and spent the day with my husband and my kids. We went out to lunch...all wore those stupid crowns at Burger King, sang happy birthday to my husband when it wasn't even his birthday, then went home to play candyland ( which I hate), but couldn't help but laugh at how the belly laugh of my five year old came everytime mom got sent back to the candy cane spot at the very beginning. After I put the children to bed, my husband and I put plastic on the windows....another thing that is more than a pain in the butt, but we turned on the radio, took the opportunity to dance to one of our favorite songs when our song came on and then blew out my blow dryer as we tried to get the wrinkles out of the darn plastic. Now for some, the day would have been a drag. But to me....it was fun...I was alive, I got to laugh with my children, dance with my husband and laughed hysterically at him panicking like a scared six year old when the flames were shooting out of my hairdryer. Did I set out to have fun? Not really...it was just another day. Did I fake it? Can't fake something like that when you look for the positive things in every situation. I know alot of people say that life is what you make of it...and there is a ring of truth to that...but wouldn't it be better to say "Life is what it is going to be, but I'm going to choose how I want to perceive it?" So yes, to answer your question...there is fun in the world...you just have to look for it and you'll find it....in the darndest of places!

You can't have much fun if you expected to have fun... The best fun is truly a surprise, and when you realize how much fun you are having, it tends then to fade.
Yes, life sucks.

I don't' think so, I think it has a lot to do with peer pressure. Your see someone doing something and you think well, I don't want him to think I'm not cool, so you do it and others see and think the same thing so they join in. It's a continuous circle. ( and I'm not talking about alcohol and drugs, that's a given).
It's just like keeping up with the Joneses. We think they are normal and happy, when in fact what is normal? and what constitutes happiness?

If you are not able to experience fun in anything at all, you probably have a chemical imbalance of some kind or are depressed.
See your family doctor and tell her/him what you just said.
