I just watched the Heavyweight title fight between Klitschko and Calvin Brock and i was a little impressed with Klitschko although i thought it was a sloppy fight for the first few rounds. I thought Brock would bring more to the table than he did. He looked like he was lost in there. So now is Klitschko the man to unify all the belts? What do you think?

Well Brad, i guess i was more impressed with the knockout than the actual fight itself. I thought Brock would knock him out to be honest. You're right, it wasn't a good fight to watch.

I thought he fought a cautious fight early on but in essence a smart one. He admittedly said he should have started using the jab and combination two rounds earlier and knocked him out in the fifth but Brock was an undefeated solid boxer and Klitschko is determined not to take anyone lightly. This is the second undefeated fighter he has beaten recently as he won a decision over Samuel Peter as well. In addition to the dominant performance over Byrd I think he has earned the undisputed number one heavyweight spot. The next step is unification and I think he will have little trouble with two out of the three unification bouts. I have believed for a long time he was the one and until someone shows me otherwise he is the man to beat.

Well the match it self wasn't particularly that impressive perhaps, mostly due to a lack of activity of both fighters in the opening rounds, but Wladimir was smart here, he had a clear strategy from start to finish and he most definitely ended it in spectacular fashion. It took him a couple of rounds to warm up and get going but once he started moving more and working that left jab I was convinced that it would only be a matter of time before he sets Brock up for that big right straight and puts him down and it turned out to be so. I must say I really didn't expect more from Brock in this fight. To be honest I was even a bit surprised with the resistance he gave Wladimir. He's a very good fighter, no doubt, undefeated until this match, but the fact is that so far he has fought absolutely no one and he had no matches on this level. Last night he took on the champion and the best heavyweight in the world today and I really think he didn't do that badly, all things considered. In my opinion, given the state of heavyweight division currently, he could possibly have the potential to win one of the titles, just not against Wladimir.

One more thing - you shouldn't agree with trolls man or take their opinion into consideration. Some people here are just narrow-minded, bias haters, not boxing fans and they should really have no place on this forum. Wladimir is very skilled, accomplished and tremendous boxer, the best heavyweight in the world today and if he is given the opportunity he will, without any question, unify the titles and become the next undisputed champion. Some things said of him in previous answers are plain ignorant trash and you really shouldn't give them much thought.

I thought it was a horrible fight right up until the KO. All Klitschko did was jab and grab and Brock was so off balance in the first couple of rounds i thought maybe he had a few brews before he left the dressing room. I agree with Brad M, all these Russians suck big time and if James Toney can stop eating and become motivated enough to get down to 225lbs he'll beat all those bums! I do agree with you on one thing Pancho, i thought Brock would make a better effort. I thought Klitschko would win, but i didn't think he would look that bad in doing so. He's lucky he's got a decent punch.

LMAO, am I seeing things or did someone say "Brock should move down to Super Middleweight"? Calvin Brock weighed in almost at 225lbs for this fight. Just four fights prior he weighed in at 236lbs. You suggest he lose 55-60lbs to fight at Super Middleweight?? That has to be one of the dumbest things I've heard in a long time. Also, out of the last ten guys he fought Calvin was bigger than 6 of them.

It just shows you don't know anything about the sport of boxing Rebecca.

i was surprised at brock's performance i guess i expected more out of him than starting the fight tripping around the ring like a retard i have seen him fight and i considered him a pretty damn good boxer i actually though he would win even despite the huge size advantage that klitschko had. i dont know i think brock should move to super middle wieght cuz everyone is always so much bigger and he really is a good boxer but if he would be klitschko it woulda had to be amazing performance just to get over the size thing..

pancho pancho? You were impressed?? OK everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I almost turned it off. I thought they were both pathetic. Did you take note of Brock's terrible stance?? The guy stands with his feet so close together a person at ringside getting up to use the john, would create enough wind to knock him over. He'd better fix that fast, it should've been elementary with all those boxing books his Dad used to train him with.

The first round gets my vote for "Worst Round of the Year", yawwwwwnnnn. Wlad still gets frazzled in the ring and clinches way too much. Also, he needs to put some snap in his jab he pushes it too much. But as I always say "its just my opinion". Great Question pancho, thanks

Klitschko is a piece of shitt and so are the rest of the Russian bums holding belts.
How could you have been impressed watching those two fight? It was boring and unexciting. Both fighters' purses should be withheld.
