If you believe that your god is infallible, you can't throw out some of the rules, just because you don't like them.

Rebecca, you're a nice person. But don't you think that reading answers from all Christians is a little biased? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm not bashing anyone's beliefs, I'm questioning them.

If your Pentecostal , i understand the point your trying to make. However, like u said, u have to use the whole Bible and that means making sure your following the principles of the Hebrew and Greek scriptures.

A good example is given at Galations 5; 2 and 3 where Paul states that a man who is trying to follow the Mosaic law is not benefitting from Christ's sacrifice but is subjecting himself to the whole Law. Christians are free from that, but are to hold the principles of Loving God with our whole heart and loving our neighbor as ourself. If everybody did these 2 things , they would be obeying the Bible to the letter.

As for hair, we're encouraged to follow local custom. Men in those days all wore beards too, but that's not as common in our society, but nobody makes a big deal if we're clean shaven.
The Bible is reasonable, we just have to make sure we are too.

In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, andthe Word was God. He was with God in the Beginning.

Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was Life, and that Life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the Darkness, but the Darkness has not understood it.

John 1-3

"At that time, if anyone says to you, 'Look! Here is the Christ! Or 'There He is!' do not believe it.For False Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect, if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time."

Matthew 24:23-25

"Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside, you are full of greed and wickedness. You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside, make the inside also? But give what is inside the dish to the poor, and every thing will be made safe for you."

First, those who despise Christianity never fail to quote Old Testament Laws which were abolished witht the coming of Christ. Gets boring.

Second, in viewing your questions and answers, you asked one where you might find out how to be more appealinjg to young women, that you are too "serious".... Judging by your other questions and answers you have submitted, first you need to quit coming here and on other forums simply to bait Christians. It is immature, and speaks of a cynical, mean spirited hostility.

If you do not believe in God, or in Christianity that is one thing, but becoming a troll and seeking to inflame anger speaks of personal problems within yourself. Should you display this in person with women you will scare off any decent ones.

The first one isnt God talking, it was a parable story about some people whose GROWN son was acting out, and they took him before the elders for help. THAT was the elders judgments, NOT Gods

God is infallible. A new covenant was made when Jesus died. They werent thrown out, they were abloshed with Christs ultimate sacrifice, wich was prophesied. I see you left those verses out.

God wants people to evolve and the rules laid down in the Bible are basically ones we should follow, however, because we are, hopefully, smarter we can understand that some of these commandments were for then. , Remember God gave us free will and that is why you are trying to challange it.

We are no longer under the law (New Covenant and Old Covenant), but under mercy and grace.
