I wanted to know if it would be safe and nothing would kill them

Depending on where you live, and the provisions you make for your cats would determine if they would be "safe" living outdoors. At their tender age and with winter approaching, if you are leaving them to defend themselves outside, it would be kinder to the cats to find good homes for them, where they will be loved and protected. They are still babies, so think about their well-being, and you will know the answer.

I would say that it would depend on the area you live in.
My cats are outdoor cats. When we first got them , they stayed indoors for a couple of months, we then started letting them go outside but out neighborhood police are VERY strict aobut dogs being on leashes- you never see stray dogs and you almost never see others' dogs roaming around alone.
We live in a rural area and there are a lot of other cats in the neighborhood but very very fw stray. There are not too many fighters, the cats around here are kind of territorial so they pretty much stayin their own and out of each others yards. Our cats stay on our block and really dont go farther than two houses down on either side.
The only time I would NOT under any circumstances let a cat out would be if they were not fixed and/ or if they were declawed.

my cat was born last october and at the time i had another cat who was always a indoor cat when my ex moved out she took the indoor cat with her and my cat then became a indoor out door cat. while i do worry that something bad could happen (coyote's) he has been an indoor out door cat for almost a year now and seems happier. there are risks about them going out side as the previous answer said but there are risks with everything .. i would say start slowly let them out side when your around keep an eye on them... just let them out for short periods of time and slowly increase the time they are allowed out side ... over a month i gradually let my cat out longer and longer and now he knows that when i leave for work he goes out side with me (he actually walks out with me i dont have to put him out ) and then when i get home he follows me inside but he will go in and out for most of the evening( i leave a door open for him ) and then when i go to bed he usually comes inside and sleeps in side with me how ever there are nights where he does stay out side. i guess i feel a lil more comfortable with him being out side because i also have a dog that keeps all the other critters away and my dog and cat get along like brothers (the cat will actually pick fights with other cats in the neighborhood and then run home and hide under the dog) hope this helps it all comes down to your circumstances and if you are comfortable with it .

Cats are generally 50/50 indoor/outdoor. Outdoor to hunt/play/do potty business. Indoor for sleep/eat/comfort/visit owners.

To cold for them to stay outside 100% of the time. Especially without shelter from wind/rain/snow/sleet/hail/lightning/thunder.

Cats need it both ways, period! About 75% of the time indoors sleeping. 25% time outdoors for a quick excercise romp and stuff.

Why did you get the cats, sounds like you never wanted to be bothered by them.

Living outdoors will never be ''safe''. There are other cats, that can fight them, stray dogs that can injure or kill them, and wildlife that can kill them (coyotes - food source, racoons - due to lack of food, they consider cats competition and will fight for food.)
Cats have a healthier and longer life, indoors.

what can kill them?
cold weather
dehydration (lack of fresh water)
worms
disease
angry neighbours
coyotees
hawks
eagles
other cats
dogs
racoons
poison
cars
serial killers (interestly enough most start by taking free pets)
cultists or satanists or wanna be's

lets face it - if you love your pets they will be indoors only
