if i listen to music that says good things about jesus/savior/god
but the band isnt considered a christian band
(and still is metal)

You are a good, no make that wonderful, person as long as you do not hurt another, physically, mentally, or emotionally. I don't think any particular music makes someone "bad".

Listening to a metal band singing good things about Jesus is not an indicator that you are a good person, and really, listening to plain old metal without saying good things about God does not make you a BAD person either.
The state of your soul depends on a lot more than the music you listen to. Your entire life beliefs, practices, deeds and thoughts are generally thought to be what GOD judges you on. Examine your conscience and talk to HIM about it.

Metal music....regardless of the lyrics, is not going to make anybody a good or bad person.
It takes many factors, circumstances, parenting, society, attitude of the person, etc....to cause a person to act in a good or bad way.
Although....good or bad is a judgement held by the person judging the other. You are the only person you need to look at in the mirror every day. Do as you will!

Look you can still be a follower of Jesus and listen to what ever music you like. If that music wasnt to be listened to then you wouldnt hear it, its called Free Will.

well instead of sitting in ur home or car listening to music about Jesus-pbuh, i feel it would be much better if you would get up and start helping God's creation. that way you are making ur way in the Heart of God and Jesus-pbuh will be pleased with you too. after all that is what Jesus-pbuh taught -- to serve others.

do not think the music u hear makes you or breaks you. Jesus said none is good, so probably not a consideration to worry about trust and obediance should be your concern.

I would say so. Just because a person listens to metal music, doesn't make them bad people. It is how we react to daily influences that make us good or bad.
