try blowing out the phlegm into a paper napkin as often as possible. Rub a thick layer of vicks vapourise onto your chest , back, throat and a bit on your nostrils, it should help. A steam is a good idea too.

Hot liquids will help (coffee, tea, soup). You can ask the pharmacist for an extended release medicine with the same drug as Robitussin, flonase is another good nasal spray. Humidifiers in your room at night will work well as will making sure you are drinking enough fluids to keep the mucus thin and easy to clear. If you want to clear your nose quickly for a short period of time, you can try to do something that will raise your adrenaline level, such as a scary movie or sex.

Vicks or Nyquil before bed. Also for some reason Sneezing releives that stuffy nose for a while. THat stuffy nose feeling is the skin in your nose swelling up not mucous so dont try to blow your nose alot the mucous is behind the fat it's difficult to get it out.

Use a humidifier in your room when you sleep and put some vicks on your upper lip and chest. Also you can go to the store and buy some psudofedrine. If that doesn't help within a few days you might need to see a doctor for a prescription and if you get one ask for nasonex it works wonders.
