Absolutely NOBODY should be giving your son alcohol, especially without your consent, and ESPECIALLY because he's only 11!!! He is way underage, and that is really messed up of her. If i were you, I would definitely confront her about it and let her know how wrong it was of her, and make sure she never does it again. If she gets defensive or retaliates, threaten to get the authorities involved. Also, sit your son down and have a talk with him. Let him know that alcohol isn't good, especially at such a young age, and tell him all the dangers of drinking. Even if you feel drinking isn't that bad, he needs to at least think that it's really bad for him or else he might go out and try to drink more!

the next time you see her, just mention that in the future you would appreciate it if she would refrain from giving your child alcohol. However, sit down with your son and explain alcohol to him and why it is so important to wait until he is older. Tell him you understand that he did not know what it was, but he should never drink anything if he does not know what it is. My parents were realistic, and knew I would drink before I was 21. They told me if I was to ever drink, to call them for a ride home and they would not ask me any questions. Keep the line of communication open with your son, and you shouldn't have any problems. This is the age to start talking to them about drugs and alcohol. Good luck.

just let her know that he is too young to drink (how old is he??)and you don't want her giving it to him. It is your job as a parent to protect him at all times so this needs to be said to her whether you like it or not. A child comes before a friendship but if you say it the right way she should take no offense

I would be so pissed also, she could be arrested, I dont know how far you want to take this, teach your child not to take anymore stuff from her unless you have approved it, she sounds a little shaky herself, if you can, stay away, and tell her if this happens again you will not hesitate to involve the police, if she did it to your child she probably has done it to hers or others good luck

Yes, your neighbor shouldn't have done that but plain and simple you are the parent and needed to supervise him while he was outside. Just watch your son when he goes outside and make sure he understands that he shouldn't be drinking that also and to stay away from that neighbor. :)

Keep him away from her. She is obviously deranged if she thinks it's ok to give an 11 year old child (whether it be her child or not) alcohol. If I were you, I would report her. She sounds dangerous.

You should tell your neighbor that she had no business giving your son vodka. If your son is underage, then I suggest you stay away from her.
