if i listen to music thats associated with the devil/satan (death metal/black metal) (that stuff)
but doesnt nessescarily (spelling is wrong) worship satan?

oh as a side note: does 3 six mafia worship the devil?
3 6 mafia = 666 mafia, and in 1 of their songs.. the background is a person chanting the word "lucifer"

You are not a "bad" person because of your choice of music. I also am a big fan of Death and Black metal (Check out the band Akercocke on myspace. links below). You are, in fact, a better person in my book! And by the way, there is nothing wrong with worshiping Satan.

I think you asking the question am i a bad person shows me that you truly are not because you care to find the answer to it . I think you maybe searching for the truth in life. The truth is Jesus Christ He loves you so much that He died for you so that you can spend your life in eternity when you die. Jesus says "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through me."
Listening to devil / Satan music will dull the senses to God. It will put you in great depression. But there is a way out. Ask Jesus into your life, sit back and watch how He can control of your life for the better. People think that when you become a Christian, you have to give up your life, that's not the case at all He just wants to add to it

You may not be a bad person, but the music isn't good for your mind, soul and spirit. I heard that about 3 six mafia too. I don't know if it's true, but I would suggest you be careful about the kind of music you listen to though.

No. I like songs by Garbage, Alice in chains, Tori Amos, etc that have lyrics that contradict my belief in God yet I still listen to them because they jam! Sometimes I'll sing the lyrics differently to make them more to my beliefs, just so God doesn't think I believe what others may say.
Why is death music so satanic? If you like their hard guitars and throaty vocals, why can't they sing about non satanic stuff?

You might not be when you start out listening to it but, in time, you will be. So if I were you, I'd quit while I was ahead. Anything that chants lucifer as if to worship him is contaminated/evil.

I used to be into metal music myself. But I would say if the imagery in the lyrics is negative or violent best to listen to something else. What do you think of Christian metal?

No, I think only when something is donw in vein. Like for example if you knew killing was bad and still did it.
Those artists I am sure use things as a gimmic or novelty I am sure they are not vein or think the devil is cool.

Listening to a certain type of music DOES NOT make you a bad person and don't let anyone tell you that it does. Doing bad things to other people makes you a bad person.

NO, in order for soul to know what good is, and what evil is...they must first experience both!! ok, thats corny, but live with that philosphy. Everyone thinks they are somewhat better than others, but i mean, in order for us to progress we will first have to accept others for who they are...if we keep rejecting others beliefs and decisions, we will get no where! so if you want to listen to whatever music, feel free. no one should really care...it's not like you are raping, stealing, killing etc...thats all i can think of lol hope it helped
