My boyfriend wants me to lose some weight and be skinnier. I have always been skinny but I couldn't find a job for a few months and my metabolism has changed quite a bit the last two years. I'm almost 24. I told him I want him to work out with me at least once a week maybe twice. Don't you think he should be supportive since it's a big deal to him for me to get in better shape? I do massage so I'm active at work. but I want to do more to get in shape and toned. But I also want him to quit smoking and get his license back. So how should we help eachother reach those goals and be supportive? Some people think it's very rude that he wants me to lose weight, but I'd also like to as well. I don't ever want to get fat and I want to be more athletic and make it part of my lifestyle. He also thinks he gets his workout from his job, but I want him to work out with me. I need some motivation. He just can't get past wanting me to be skinnier. I'm a size 8 or 9.

He does maintainance work and janitorial work usually 5-6 hours a night and he almost always has both sat. and sunday off. I work two jobs on sat. and might be doing fridays at both jobs too starting next month. He thinks he gets enough workout at his job. but we worked out today and he couldn't keep up because of his smoking. he kept taking little breaks to catch his breath.
