God punishes Eve, and all women after her, with the pains of childbirth and subjection to men.

if you mean to the woman HE said, "I will greatly increase your suffering and your childbearing, in pain shall you bear children. yet your craving shall be for your husband, and He shall rule over you." since TheTorah does not have any thing called genesis, and it would be altering scripture to call Parashas Bereeshees this.
well it means that her womans rights, of bossing her husband around, were being taken away. since she severly abused this privelage. and she is being severly repremanded for being the cause of adam to fail in the second comming of adam. this after Adam is put to death, and returned as adam and chaooah, in this second comming, and was given power over her husband. and that she will not be given authority over adam any more.
and only G-D know what status women would have had, had she not of done what she did. which even results in cain killing able. therefore losing both sons. is also considered pain of childbearing. not to mention the increase in the actual birth process. which untill then was a breeze for her. so she is being repremended in a form of slavery to adam, as punishment. in which also her giving birth to shet(and not seth) and other sons and daughters is increased. even though she i now beyond her years to give birth. so her privilages were taken away, for her disbelief in her affair with the more subtle than any other beast G-D made specificialy to decieve her, if not paying attention to G-D. The Very Jealous G-D, you do not want to actualy betray. if you know what is good for you.
unless you mean the earlier part where G-D so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten Son Adam. that whosoever believeth in Him in TheTorah, shall not preish but be given with everlasting life, as always in TheTorah. since TheTorah does not have chapter and verse numbers, i am not sure what Paticular Lesson, you are talking about.
and you have to understand, what happens to adam and chaooah, shall have an everlasting effect on their grandchildren. and that anyone who is presently involved in this conspiracy against their granmother, cannot proceed any further than here in TheTorah, to the third and fourth visitations.

It's an unfortunate consequence for women due to Eve's disobedience and lack of respect for headship. This verse prophesies that all women would have pain during pregnancy and that they would have a desire for their men even when dominated or under oppression from them. This is especially evident in the muslim culture and african tribes, and some parts of asia.

16 "To the woman he said, 'I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.'"
It means to me that the person who wrote down this particular creation myth didn't understand women's bodies (and thus why childbirth hurts) and lived in a patriarchal and thus misogynistic society.

RE: Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee

This scripture reflects only one stage of the long process of achieving spiritual balance between men and women, instead of competing for dominance throughout history, so humanity can finally be at peace with ourselves.
First, even before Eve, there was Lilith -- the stage of humanity where matriarchies ran more egalitarian societies. Ancient art and religions reflect beliefs that revered women as the source of life through childbirth, who then headed the family by passing authority from mother to daughter. But this was not equal enough, and the early systems of goddess or fertility worship were feared and rejected by later cultures for subjecting the man to a seemingly inferior position. I equate this change of regime to the parable of Eve eating of the Tree of Life, then passing the apple to Adam, which then led to both falling from grace.
For the next stage of development, patriarchal systems began to dominate where power was passed by primogeniture from fathers to their firstborn sons, in order for men to be in control. The Bible scripture you quote speaks to this rule. The point was to try to balance the previous spiritual history, where men would dominate instead of women being worshipped as "mother earth" or "fertility goddess" type figures, but with spiritual emphasis on God as the heavenly father or creator. It was pointed out to me by a Biblical Feminist that there are 10 times as many references in the Bible to God as "Wisdom" which is associated with the female spirit of earth and goddess worship, than to God as the heavenly "Father" which is a modern construct.
But in truth, neither system of matriarchy or patriarchy has brought salvation, equality and peace to the world. The genocides of goddess tribes (documented in Bible scriptures, see also "When God was a Woman" by Merlin Stone), was merely followed by more wars and genocides of nations and tribes by others who continued to fight for control of property and power. Marriage laws, originally created to control women and children equally as property of the family estate, and all politics and government have also stemmed from property control under patriarchal type systems of governance. This has brought no peace, but more war, corruption and greed.
So the final stage of human development was to bring a balance between the spiritual male and female roles in society. Because of the collective sacrifice of women, mothers and wives exploited or abused by men throughout history, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as a male sacrifice for all humanity's sake was necessary and designed to balance out this otherwise endless tug of war which has fueled all political struggle between church and state, people and government, etc.
So now the point is to fulfill spiritual equality, where there is no male or female but all are one in Christ Jesus.
The Old Testament, and even pre-creation mythology of the Jewish caballah, speak to the past, where women were sacrificed and whole tribes were killed to counteract the fear of dominance by women's spiritual knowledge, symbolized by Eve biting into the apple before Adam. The New Testament introduces Jesus Christ as the sacrifice to end all sacrifices and to bring spiritual salvation and peace in the Kingdom of God.
I see a real need to balance the male and female roles in various religions, so there is harmony and not competition to make one right and one wrong. Throughout history there has always been struggle for power, but the point is to restore a healthy balance so the male and female sides of humanity work as partners with equal respect even if we play different roles in life.
"Genocide" to the tune of "Sanctified" by NIN

Before Eve was destined to stand by Adam’s side
There was Lilith who refused to be his bride
Brought up equally with knowledge of the earth
Of life and death and cycles of rebirth
But then Satan made a serpent out of her
To pour God’s wrath upon the daughters of the earth
Raging genocide against the goddess tribes
Who were sacrificed before Christ
Once Eve and Adam fell from heaven’s grace
Heads of church and state arose to take their place
Passing laws from fathers to their oldest sons
To control their wives and property as one
While the antichrist draws power by the sword
False prophets sanction violence by God’s word
From the matriarchs to the patriarchs
Bearing sacred scars from “holy wars”
It took Jesus Christ descending into hell
To dispel the myths concealing God’s true will
Healing wounds to raise the dead and bring new life
Until no more blood is shed or sacrificed
So how can we
Covet land and colonize the poor
Selling young
Children worked to death on sweatshop floors
Modern genocide of the native tribes
We still sacrifice after Christ
Falsely justified in the name of Christ
Who was crucified to end all strife
