This is what you believe because you are an angry and bitter person. Hold the mirror to your own face Honey and see how ugly you are. There are 3 million Christians in the world and a great majority of them are trying to tell people about the love of God and how freely salvation is given. But with your hateful heart all you can do is spew out venom. I am not trying to make you laugh because a lost soul is no laughing matter. Jesus Christ can turn your heart of stone to a heart of love. It is a strange thing to me that atheists especially hateful ones seems to dwell on the subject of hell, whereas we Christian talk about the love of God.

Because you are a scientist, this answer will seem overly simple. But, I am not a scientist and, as a nurse and teacher who writes nature books for dying children, this is the only way I know how to explain my thoughts to answer your question:
1. "And God said, Let there be light, and there was light."
2. All of the light that began the Universe is where everything that we know about so far comes from, including you and I.
3. That light is pure energy. Energy flies in waves. (The electromagnetic spectrum).
4. Bundles of that energy called photons come together, cease to fly freely in waves, and form tiny tangled shimmerings called particles. We named those particles "electrons, neutrons and protons". Those shimmerings are also called "matter".
5. Particle shimmerings come together and form shimmering families called atoms.
6. Atom families that are alike come together and form elements, such as helium, hydrogen, gold, oxygen, etc.
7. Elements come together and form compounds.
8. Compounds come together and form organic compounds.
9. Organic compounds come together and form lifeforms capable of consciousness and possessing senses.
10. Humans are made of the original light. Humans are made of zillions of tiny shimmerings that come together and form a giant shimmering that is us.
11. Our senses notice the world of other shimmerings around us and our bodies turn that information into perceptions.
12. All living things perceive and learn from perceptions.
13. Perceptions are shimmerings (electrical manifestations) in our brains and nervous systems. Perceptions can come together and form memories. Memories help us to remember how not to suffer.
14. We learn and collect memories so that we can live and not suffer. Humans do not want to be hungry or scared or sick or in pain.
15. We suffer when shimmerings within us untangle and fly away again as free photons, such as when we waste away with hunger, or, when they are disturbed, such as when you skin your knee. Photons can be tangled in shimmerings (matter) or flying free in waves (energy). (E=MC2)
16. Shimmerings are like musical notes. Humans are like a glorious symphony of musical notes. We can also suffer when the music of ourselves crashes into the music of something else and the notes do not mix, or, harmonize. But, research has shown that when the symphony of music of another collection of shimmerings, such as a rose, and the music of ourselves mix well, or, harmonize, we see "beauty". We humans like whatever we harmonize with. We have "feelings" about those harmonies and discords.
18. When we think and have feelings, our brains emit free flying photons (brainwaves).
17.Recent reseach in the Netherlands has found that the musical note or feeling or brainwave that we humans can experience that matches the music (mean frequency) of the Universe itself, is COMPASSION.
18. Goodness is such harmony with the Universe. We call that goodness health. We are still learning about what natural goodness is.
19. The closer we look at the ways of nature and the Universe, the more we understand about objective goodness.
20. Here is a picture that we have recently made of the beginning of the Universe when all the energy of all the shimmerings, including you and I, began:

No. They are Biblical teachings yes. But they are also standard moral teachings too. Religion surely does NOT corner the market on those things.

These things are not exclusive to religious people, or to religious teachings.
Anyone who has been raised correctly will have been taught them.
