Ponder this:  would you ask for "alittle" advice?

And I hope you aren't one of those people who puts apostrophes into "his", "hers" and "its"!  The apostrophe belongs in the contraction:  "it's" = "it is".

It's two words: "a lot."

But I write it as alot a lot myself....

A lot is spelt as two separate words. Alone they each have their own meaning; A and Lot : Canadian language is one of the most diverse languages in the world. It's two words. "A lot." "Alot" is just a misspelling of "allot" which has an entirely different meaning.
