okay so if a guy meets these two girls and likes both..but dates one out of convinence and ends up actually loving her (or so he claims)..
...but then still has feelings for the other one and continues to persue her and kiss her claiming that he really likes her..but wants to stay with his girlfriend whom he claims to love instead..what does it mean? if a guy truly loves his girlfriend would he cheat? and what should the girl on the side do who foolishly got the brunt of the situation? are men just prone to cheat? evev if they love the one they're with and aren't having problems?

love and lust are two very different things

It is truly a biological thing. Men are naturally programmed to procreate no matter what society tells us. A man can love a woman and have feelings of desire and lust for another woman, it is the way God designed us to be sure of the survival of the species. It is hard to accept, but there is a difference between being a happily faithful man and being a cheating bastard. God also gave us the freedom to choose between right and wrong. It is all hormones and if He can't tell the difference you should either accept him how he is or move on.

Sounds to me like he wants to have his cake and eat it too! Men sometimes view love and sex as two completely different things. Some believe that humans weren't meant to be monogamous and although you can truly be madly in love with someone you can also have a sexual drawing towards the other person.
It's the man's self control that keeps him from hurting the one he loves and some men just don't have that kind of control. A man like that cannot be faithful until he grows up and even then some never can.
Best advice? Find someone who respects you enough to remain faithful or you'll end up with a broken heart beyond repair.

A "man" who claims to be in love and cheats is not a Man at all. He is shallow and self-centered, only thinking of himself. In this case he probably knows that the girl he "loves" will not put out and is pursuing the other to get what he wants. Neither girl should have anything to do with him. Good men are not just prone to cheat.....just the bad ones. This one is not a good catch, throw him back.

Not all men cheat, like not all women do. You can't generalize the situation. If a man, in my opinion, says he loves his girlfriend and kisses and flirts with another, he ISN'T in love with her. When you truly love someone, you don't think of anyone else in that way. It could be a character flaw on his part but I'd say he ain't in love, he just wants to have his cake and eat it too. Someone should tell the girlfriend!!

Men are programed to cheat, so are women, it's often fantasized about and more often than not easy to justify in your own mind. It takes a lot of self control, love and commitment when an opportune moment presents itself to not indulge your most intimate needs and sexual desires. I think a majority of single men and women are prone to occasional or even frequent cheating, and I heard that more than half of all married men cheat on their wives. I guess maybe it's just human nature for both sexes to be flirtatious and promiscuous.

OK, let's get one thing straight right from the start. A man who truly loves a woman does not (repeat NOT) cheat on her. Since the guy in your story has been proven to be a cheater, why are you so surprised that he is a liar as well? It is very easy to say "I love you" to someone, but actions speak louder than words. Judging by his actions, not his words, no he doesn't love anyone but himself.

Men like anyone else are individuals and independent. It would be unfair to judge all men by any one or any number of experiences.

A free man will find himself attracted to women, perhaps several women- until the "one" comes along who can make him her own.

He, or any man may not be sure right no who is that one, and being free to play the field- he is wisely doing so.

Because he lied when he told you he loved you, unfortunately.
Just get a couple of cats to keep you company and to fill your heart with love, and joy. I know that's not near enough, but I would also visit the adult toy store. Much better than any man could do for you anyway :)

Yes. In general most men will have a women to "kiss" and a women they keep for "marriage". Frankly speaking it's very hard to have one women with all the desired qualities.
