"J'adore" mean more i like (very much). Love would be translate by "aimer", i love you: je t'aime. If you say to a person that you like her (adore) it won't mean necessary that you love he/her.
You can also use "j'adore" in everyday subjects: J'adore répondre a des questions. (I like to answer to questions)
