Does anyone have any good recipes that they have actually tried, not just random ones that you found on the internet? I'm looking for a potato bread recipe specifically but if you want to share others that is just fine.

I've had both of these and there pretty good.

Potato Bread (bread machine)

3/4 cup water
2/3 cup instant mashed potato flakes
1 egg
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 cup dry milk powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Add ingredients to bread machine in order suggested by the manufacturer. Add enough water to make a firm dough; use less if leftover potatoes are used.
Bake at regular bread cycle.

Sweet Potato Bread

1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup water
1 cup cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
Combine sugar and oil; beat well. Add eggs and beat. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir flour mixture into egg mixture alternately with water. Stir in sweet potatoes and chopped nuts.
Pour batter into greased 9x5 inch loaf pan (or 2 small loaf pans). Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about one hour.

These are three of my favorites that I've been sharing.

Chinese Noodle salad

1/2 head cabbage, chopped
2 - 3 green onions, chopped
1 package Ramen Noodles (discard seasoning), broken into pieces
2 Tablespoons of sunflower seeds (kernels)
1 cup sliced or slivered almonds
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce

In one bowl, mix cabbage & onions. In fry pan, melt margarine, and stir fry the Ramen noodles, sunflower seeds, and almonds until crispy brown. Set aside and cool. In saucepan, mix sugar, oil, vinegar and soy sauce. Bring to boil, then cool completely. Just before serving, mix all together.

Blackberry Lemon Ice

1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups frozen blackberries
1/4 cup fresh or bottled lemon juice

Boil the sugar and water for about 2 minutes. Cool slightly. Put in a blender with the partially thawed blackberries. Blend until smooth. Push the mixture through a sieve so the seeds are removed. Add the lemon juice to the mixture, blend well. Pour into a 9x13 pan. Freeze about 1 1/2 hours. Use a fork to break up the mixture. Freeze another hour. Break up again with the fork and serve. (If serving later, thaw a bit until you can break up the mixture with a fork.)

Best Ever Salad

Baby Spinach leaves or butter lettuce & radicchio mix
Dried Cranberries
Slivered Almonds (spread on a plate, sprinkle with sugar, microwave 2 minutes)
Thinly sliced apple (Fuji are best)
Poppyseed Dressing

Stir all together. Let sit for 30 minutes and then serve.

I have TONS of recipes, but sadly no potato bread. Here are some I've tried and loved.

Skillet Apple Chicken
INGREDIENTS

* 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
* 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/4-inch strips
* 1 sweet apple - peeled, cored and thinly sliced
* 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic salt
* 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper
* 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
* 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped dried tarragon

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook the chicken 5 minutes.
2. Gradually stir the apples into the skillet, and continue cooking 15 minutes, or until chicken juices run clear and apples are tender. Thoroughly mix in the garlic salt, pepper, pumpkin pie spice, and tarragon.

Chicken and Apple Curry
INGREDIENTS

* 3 tablespoons butter
* 2 small onion, chopped
* 2 apples - peeled, cored and finely chopped
* 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 1 tablespoon curry powder
* 8 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
* 1 cup hot chicken broth
* 1 cup milk
* salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Saute apple and onion in butter or margarine until tender. Add curry powder and saute 1 minute more. Add flour and continue to cook 1 minute longer. Add stock or broth and milk; stir well.
3. Salt and pepper chicken breasts to taste and lay in a single layer in a 9x13 inch (or larger) baking dish. Pour sauce mixture over chicken breasts and bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, until chicken is done.

Also try the Hershey's Cookbook and another cookbook called A Man A Can And A Microwave. They have some simple and delicious recipes.

Won Ton
1 packet of 'skin' (NOT real skin.)
1/3 of green onion
1 pound of beef (chinese style)
soy sauce and salt. only a bit.

mix some soysauce with beef and green onion (chopped up)
pack beef in skin, bit by bit. put in boiled water and let it stay for 20-30 mins.as it's cooking, add some salt and soy sauce(1/2 cup)stir.

Potato bread
225 gram of warm cooked potato, mashed.
1/2 tsp salt
25 g (1 oz) butter, melted
50 g (2 oz) plain flour
Makes 8 circles
Add salt and butter, then work in enough flour to make a pliable dough. Divide the dough in two and roll out on a floured surface to form two circles 22 cm (9 in) in diameter and 5 mm (1/4 in) in thickness. Cut each circle into quarters and bake on a hot griddle or pan for about 5 minutes or until browned on both sides. Some people like to grease the baking surface, while others prefer a light dusting of flour for a drier effect.

This is not a potato bread recipe, but this recipe is really good. If you love Lasagna, try it. I will post the link to the page. The cheese sauce is probably the best sauce I have ever tasted.
