He did not receive them before moving to another base waiting for deployment to Germany. Will the military forward them?

The previous answers are accurate. Prior to redeployment his unit Mail Clerk was required to fill out a unit change of address and any remaining mail will be forwarded. HOWEVER (there's always a "but" right?) this may take a while (I personally know of a soldier who collected a sent package 4 months after redeployment) so patience is the key (sort of a theme in the military, eh? Hurry Up and Wait!! - Big Smile!)

YES, the military will forward anything that was sent to him after he was moved.

yes, he will get them eventually...the mail system is very hectic in places like that but they do their best and eventually it will get back to him! i was a mail clerk for a short while when i was in and can take a while to get things sorted out, especially when units move around from place to place while in Iraq and then when they go back to their homebase it is also hard to know which end is up sometimes!

Sure, sure. If anything, we can count on the United States Military for making things easy, and hassle free. I am sure they will have it waiting for him, in his room on arrival. You need not fill out any additional forms! Just relax!

I have no idea the answer to your question, but I want you to know that I am thankful for your son and you raising him in such a way that he wants to serve our country!

Yes, definitely. And thank you for letting your loved son go to serve our country. Thank you very much. And please thank him for me too. For going out there, and possibly risking his life.
God bless.
