I've got the same problem, so I hear you. I've been told Pilates works, so I'm going to give it a shot. Good luck!

LOL. You can't get rid of your calf muscles hun! And, although a good calf massage would feel great and all, I doubt it would decrease the actual size of your calves. Here are some suggestions to downplay your genetic predisposition.

1.) Cut out exercises that tend to over-use the calves (jumping, ect.)
2.) Distance running, although it works the calves may actually help reduce the overall size in the legs. Again, DISTANCE running, not sprinting or fast running. Think long distances, for a long time at a slower pace.
3.) Balance out the size of your calves by increasing muscle development in the upper legs/thighs. Even a slight addition of extra muscle will make a difference- plus your thighs will be super-firm and shapely! (for example, I have wide hips...so I make my hips look balanced by increasing my shoulder width to create an even "hourglass" shape. Similar concept with the legs.) Squats, lunges, and leg presses will build muscle in the upper legs without adding bulk to the calves.
4.) If your ankles tend to be thick, choose footwear that downplays their size.

Try this: Massage the back of your calf from the ankle to the middle of your calf muscle, using a pinching motion with both of your hands, for as long as you can. It should hurt a little bit. Also buy a rolling pin and roll it back and forth on the back of your calves.

Ok, on the opposite side of your calves, there's this other muscle. Just strengthen that one, and then it won't look like you have overgrown calves.
