Recently, I have been eating either peanut butter or nuts everyday. I don't know why I love them so much, but I find it almost addicting. Is this normal?

I eat peanut butter straight out of the jar. Don't worry, it's good for you. Just cut back on your other sources of protein and fats, and you'll be all right.

I love peanut butter too! I eat it with bread(who doesn't though), chips, pretzels, and on top of fig newtons... and i go through about 3 or 4 handfuls of almonds a day. Gee and to think I thought I was the only one who loved the stuff.

Who doesn't love a good PB&J sandwich? Humans have a genetic preference for fats and sweets. Fats are very energy-dense, so instinctively we tend to crave fats. Also, fats trigger satiety signals in your brain which tell you that you're full and stimulate comforting and pleasant feelings in the brain.

Yes, because foods w/ the most density and the most fat are naturally attracting to our taste buds, becasue of thier high calorie content, which tells our bodies that it will give us lots of energy which is what we want/need.
The denser the food, the better tasting it is. This is why the most fattening foods are the best tasting! =-(
