I want to know some ways to treat very dry/cracked feet. I’ve heard of things where people put something on them, then wear socks and a plastic bag over them or something. But if anyone could give for specific details I would appreciate it.
PLEASE ANSWER!!!

It's NOT me who is dealing with this. I want to know some easy ways because I want to do some sort of at-my-house spa treatment for someone

1. Get and exfoliating foot soap (or even some plain sugar works) and scrub your feet until the dead skin peels off.
2. Rub a good, thick lotion with natural oils (like sweet almond, olive oil, tea tree oil) in until it is all absorbed.
3. Apply a second layer and put on socks. Do this every time you put on your socks and shoes, and before you go to bed.
4. Unless you have a serious skin condition, your feet should immediately feel more moisturized.

Your best bet is a dye/fragrance/alcohol free lotion (meaning skip Bath and Body works!) that's meant for hands and/or feet (which are dryer than the rest of the body).

"Miracle Foot Repair," at Walmart for $9.99 is well worth it.

Also, if you don't mind the messy consistency, Petroleum jelly (vaseline) rubbed on feet, left a few minutes to absorb, then covered with cotton socks over night will really make a difference!

Lastly, make sure your footwear is giving you enough ventilation. Sweating is a big cause of drying!

You can buy lotions or creams specifically made for heels/feet or for cracked, dry skin. You can also apply vaseline aka petroleum jelly to your feet and then wear socks to bed or use the plastic bags. Soak you feet in warm water too with either baby oil or bath oil in it.

There is a product called Crack Cream that works very well. another option is to rub lotion into you feet right after your bath then rub Vaseline liberally over that. Then put on socks over that before going to bed at night. Do this every night.

this works, trust me! it helps a lot, cause i have the very same problem.
1. get one of those hard feet scrubbers, and scrub your feet in the tub. this is important. it gets most of the dead cells off, and your feet will feel better.
2. once your done. it would be good to give yourself a massage. =] you need it every once ina a while!
3. THEN,THIS IS IMPORTANT, SO LISTEN OR RIGHT THIS DOWN! before you go to bed. put lotion on your feet, and put socks over them. you will sleep with socks on fo rthe rest of the night. this helps your feet stay moist, and it makes them smooth! it feels great! if you do this for atleast one to two weeks. I'm sure you will have smooth, good looking feet!

We use Bag Balm at our house. It sounds gross, but it works great. They use it on cow's utters to prevent chaffing. Most pharmacies and Walmarts now carry it because it heals very dry and cracked skin.
