I am using Windows98. My granddaughter’s baby picture is saved on hard disc. I want to put the picture on desktop as screensaver. Please guide me how to do that. Will this method work for Windows Me also? Thanks

In Windows98:

right-click on an empty spot to get a submenu
choose Properties
click the Background tab
click Browse
navigate to the picture, then click it to select
You will note on the bottom it states that it is a background picture
click Open

You will see an icon for it jump into the "wallpaper" box
click Apply

You may be told that Active Desktop has to be selected and asked if you want to do this.

It looks like you do, so say yes or o.k.

You should be aware that backgrounds, wallpaper and screensavers, although cute and fun, will seriously slow down your PC if and when you want to browse the internet. You may very soon be wanting to remove it. Just repeat the steps above and for background, select none.

right click on the picture, there is an option that says "Set as Desktop background". Thatz the easiest way.
