Testosterone (male hormone) is running high during teen years.
slowing down after puberty and after sexual activity has begun, to the point when the male does not have "wet dreams" as frequently, but never stopping completely, even well into the so called golden years.

Having wet dreams is the result of the hormones that are released during puberty. Eventually the guy will grow out of it.

We often ask ourselves that very same question, and a lot of the "answers" I've heard over the years are pretty lame. We're sexual human beings and "wet dreams" are just one of the many ways our bodies express themselves sexually. God Bless you.

Haven't you just answered your own question? Sex is inherent in our make up, no point being shy about it.
