I have been wearing glasses for 4 years and every year I have had to go for an eye exam to increase the strength of my prescription. I am 24 and my prescription is now -4.00 and I sense its time for stronger lenses soon. My first prescription was -1.75, a second prescription was -2.50, then -3.25 and now -4.00. I am fine with wearing glasses, its just my concern about my loss of clear vision and total dependency on corrective lenses. It seems surreal that at 18 I could see fine and now I need to have fairly strong glasses on to see across the room. Has anyone else had this happen to them and when do the changes usually stop?

As you age the eyes will change(It never stops and will just keep getting worse). My grandmother was almost blind when she passed away. Certain medical conditions can also contribute to it. My eye site was fine until I was 28. Then my thyroid went out of wack and I had a hyperthyroid which causes the eyeballs to elongate causing nearsightedness. You might have your thyroid checked. I had to go to bifocals this year. That's when you know your getting old.

Look at this site for more information on graves disease(hyperthyroid).

I bumped into a good online resource about hypothyroidism (a desease I'm trying to overcome myself).
Check it out here http://hypothyroidism.toptips.org

I have personally tested this method and I had great results.
Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the levels of thyroid hormones in the blood are increased and is characterised by a metabolic imbalance. The thyroid gland is a small endocrine gland located at the base of the neck. It produces thyroid hormone, which control various body functions. Hyperthyroidism or thyrotoxicosis results from excess quantities of thyroid hormone in the body.
With the metod that i posted above you can definitely get rid of hypothyroidism

It does not as far as I know.

I have needed glasses for myopia and astigmatism since I was 9 years old. I'm 44 and my vision has gotten worse over the years. It is still getting worse.

Your eyes are lazy thanks to glasses, if i was you i would stop wearing glasses, and train your eyes . The miltary actually has snipers take eye traing course, it will improves their vision, I also had glasses a long time ago, never wore em' , i figured if i got a headache from wearing them they couldnt be good for ya'. My vision is actually pretty good still. I also credit video games for the hand eye coordination it gives my eyes.
