Well, I don't know if you and your beau are in any situation where you can fall asleep together, but I do know that one of my favorite (and his too!) things to do, is wake him up by going down on him, haha. He'll stir pretty quickly with that!
Other than that? You don't have to get crazy (unless you want to..). Dirty talk should really do it for him, cause many men are impressed and turned on by women who don't shy away and giggle at adult words, and verbalizing their desires. Whisper in his ear what you'd like to do to him, and don't be afraid to use non-scientific words for the anatomy! ;)
And if you don't already, please, swallow! There's nothing as insulting to a man, than to take his "load" and spit it up while grimacing. Think of how you would be insulted.
Past that...just ask him! That's the most direct way to find out what his fantasies are :)

It really depends on his fetish type, if he likes a a particular role play idea try to find that hot nurses outfit he wants (just an example) waiting for him on the bed in lingerie also works, if you just want the sexual thing, if you want to go out, maybe a dress you know he loves to see you in.
mind you this is if you want to surprise him, if you ask him go with what he wants...but hey, most guys like a surprise...
