There is no archaeological evidence for Hercules, there is archaeological evidence for Both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
For example, Isaiah had a scribe named Baruch; guess what archaeologists found a couple of years ago ... Baruch's seal used to seal official documents, It is from the right time, in the right place, with wax still clinging to it's surface, and (best of all) it has his name on it.
For example, when Paul was shipwrecked in the Mediterranean near the island of Malta, the Roman ship had four anchors, the Book of Acts says that they deployed all four anchors trying to stabilize the ship so it would not wreck (which it did anyway). Four years or so ago, the four Roman anchors were found. The right kind of anchors, the right materials, the right location, everything.
These finds were not made by religious zealots, but by researchers from major universities with no desire to "prove" the Bible, in fact, I don't think any of them are even Christians.

because believing in herculies, would be a definate indication of idolity. and there is no real indication this person actualy existed. nor has there been any real attempt to prove this hercules actualy existed. even if it is somewhat based on some facts. since there is always some true facts associated with all myths. but is like the overexaggeragions of some gunfighters in the western united states, called legends not necessarily a factual history.
even though one must be carefull about believing in their bible. since there are some pretty bad characters included in this to believe in. since the command is to believe in G-D. as there is good and bad preciepts in scriptures.
and it is difficult to tell if any of the versions or revisions out there is completely true, without any fatal modifications.

Which one is the myth? I believe in Hercules. He looks like Kevin Sorbo. I also believe in Perecles and his lesser known brother Testicles.

Tradition.
The reasoning goes like this:
Mommy and Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa and the preacher man and Amy who is like my best friend in the whole world says it's true, so it must be true. So everyone else is just WRONG!

We believe the Bible because we believe God who revealed himself to us. God has never given any indication that greek mythology is true only Jesus.
