Sounds like you have hyperpigmentation, a condition that causes your skin to darken drastically after any type of trauma (pimple or a cut). I have it too. Find a product with hydroquinone; it will fade spots over time with continued use. I use Palmer's Eventone Fade Cream. They also have a cleanser in that same line of products.
Look at the link below for their full line.

Hi There
Paragraph 2 explains it well.
http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/skin.htm
Hydration for Resplendent Skin
Nicholas V. Perricone MD - "We must drink eight to 10 glasses of pure water a day. Diet sodas and coffee don’t count, though I’m allowing tea (green or black) as part of the 8 to 10 daily glasses. When we decrease inflammation in the body, the brain works better, mood is elevated, skin becomes more radiant, dark circles and puffiness under the eyes resolve, skin becomes more toned, and even fine lines can diminish. We must remember that the skin is a reflection of our internal health. Therefore, if our skin improves, all other vital organs also improve. This decreases our risk of every disease from which we suffer." Nicholas V. Perricone MD, is the author of “The Wrinkle Cure.”
Batmanghelidji MD - "Drinking water enables the skin to better shed toxins and thus keeps it cleaner. When the skin is dehydrated it cannot shed toxins from the body and skin rashes or breakouts can occur. Use 1/4 tsp. of sea salt for every quart of water you drink. Use a good sea salt, one with at least 80 minerals, liberally with food. As long as you drink the water, you can use the salt. Some put it in their water, some lick it off their hand, some season their foods after cooking. It's up to you. Make sure you take potassium daily (banana, orange juice, etc) "
Best ot health to you
Cheers

At any store, they sell bleach cream, it helps to fade the dark spots. I bought Palmers, cheap, like $4.00 at walmart, works great, also helps to get rid of red marks! and Stretch marks. I tried the scar zone, it is about $9.00 it worked for me on red spots, but not dark spots or scars. My sister used some type of cheap suave cocoa butter, in a jar, she had bad stretch marks from growing, it was the only thing that made them disappear, after my mother had bought a lot of expensive creams, only the suave got rid of them?!
