Ok, as a girl, 21, out of highschool, I think that it would be sweet to get a note from a guy. There's something cute about it, and exciting cuz you get to go hide and read it, and read it, and read it. Make it a good one though. I don't think it'd be elementary unless you did the whole "do you like me? Check a box yes or no." I got notes from boys that I liked in highschool and it made my day. It was cute. You could also just ask her if she wanted to hang out, or go for coffee after school or something. Not something serious, make the situation chill. Or, if you want her to know that you like her and want to go the easiest most possible way, talk to one of her girlfriends. It most definitely will get back to her. Maybe even within the hour. That's a given for us girls, especially in highschool.

Ok, I just thought of something else. What if you wrote her a note, but in it said exactly how you feel about not really wanting to write a note, and how you think it could be elementary but you don't have much time to talk. And wanted to let her know but didn't really know when to tell her, since ya know, you're always running off to class...

Yeah, notes and letters are awesome. In any form. No matter how chill or serious. Always. No matter what. They're exciting. It's like fregen Christmas.

Well I hope I helped in some way.

Anytime you ask someone out, you're taking a chance of being in an awkward position. You have to allow yourself the ability to accept the answer, even if it's not what you want to hear.

I would say that you should just be bold and ask her out. You could say something like . . .
I really enjoy what little time we have together in the halls, but would like the oportunity to get to know you better. Would you be interested in going out sometime? Think about it and let me know.

This way, you're opening a door of possibility, doing it casually AND giving her the courtesy of time to think about it.

If she says no, then just stay friends with her b/c that is also the mature thing to do. And you never know what the future holds.

I'm thinking a note would be to "elementary", as you said.

Hey, GOOD LUCK! I sincerely wish you the best!

It's not immature at all. In fact, the reason why you explained you wanted to do it this way is very mature and reasonable! She's a lucky girl to have your hugs and friendship, and I'm sure she'll be delighted to receive a note from you telling her that that 10 seconds is all too fleeting and you'd really like to get to spend some more time with her getting to know one another. I'm wishing you the best of luck, but I doubt highly that you need it! You come across as a really great guy! :)

Notes are the sweetest things ever. I am a girl and whenever i see a note from a past bf i smile, notes are great. Write it in legible handwriting so she can read it in later months (maybe even years). Make sure you write it in black pen and let it dry so it doesnt smudge. Write a little heart or something at the bottom, thats always cute. If you are too scared to write her a note making a CD mix always made me fall head over heels over a certain guy.

im a high school student too, and i don't see anything wrong with writing a note to someone that you like..i mean maybe it would be kinda lame if you just wrote "Do you wanna go out with? Circle Yes/No" but if you were sincere, i see no problem from your side or the girl's side...but if you are shy, i think i would suggest asking her on an IM...because you would feel less embarassed or sad if you were turned down from an Internet connection than through face-to-face..it would be easier for both of you, even she would say yes

Why don't you give her your number and start talking to her on the phone, then eventually ask her to chill with you after school. Take it one step at a time. Trust me I'm a girl I'm 23 and I've been through all that high school stuff. The whole note thing is to forward, it could throw her off.

I wouldn't write a note. If you're already to the point of being able to give a big hug, just let her know you like her. Then you could sing a stupid song (cause women just loooove that) like that one by Musiq. "I'm not trying to pressure you, just can't get over you, you don't really need to be my girl friend..." Or, if that's too much, write a poem. They really dig that too.

Well personally I believe that writing love notes are kinda cute, but It shows maturity when you express your feelings by approaching the person directlly with a conversation.
