Not all Christians believe in the "rapture." The idea was conceived during the 1820's and was not taught in the US until 1860's. There used to be a great link on the Billy Graham website re: the rapture. A famous early 1900's Canadian evangelist was commissioned to write a pamphlet on the rapture and when he read all the scriptures used to justify the idea of a rapture, he found them to be taken out of context. If anyone can find that link, please forward this one to me.

Of course, I am constantly amused at the people who believe in the rapture the most since they don't believe in modern day revelation. Read the links and you will find if they accept the new doctrine of the rapture, they have to also believe in modern revelation.

Fortunately, their bills are 'raptured' away with them from their creditors log books. Sort of like it is when someone dies. Their debts are dissolved. Sorry, just another benefit of being a Christian. We are gonna leave all you sinners here to pay our bills(smile). I was just kidding. May God Bless

Ah, so you actually do believe. Very good!
Unfortunately any outstanding debt will remain unpaid. However, those left behind will be so busy they likely won't even notice. Come on friend, get on board while there's still time.
If you choose to stay behind you are welcome to my cars and the house (they're paid for). Just promise me you'll take good care of the Strat and my Fender Champ 12 (they're paid for too).

The bible talks quite alot about the compassion of christ for the poor and lowly of this world, and the hypocrasy / downfalls inherent to the leaders and financially wealthy. Many who are poor are rich in spirit, and vice versa. I think god is all knowing and understands the debt by which the poor suffer far greater than he will understand the lack of mercy and the greed that the rich have in particular in reference to the poor.

Does that mean I'd have to pay the debts of my Christian relatives who got raptured away

Um, well it'll pretty much be the end of the world, so I think that bill collectors will have other things on their mind that day. Hey some of the bill collectors will probably be gone as well.

Stick around and find out. :)
The world will be in chaos because of the numerous missing people, wrecked vehicles, etc. Car payments will be the last thing on anybody's mind at that point.
