The Bible teaches that we ARE a living 'soul'
In the original language terms (Heb.,nephesh;Gr.,psykhe)as used in the Scriptures show 'soul' to be a person,an animal or the life that a person or animal enjoys.Your soul is YOU.When you live, you are a living soul. When you die,the soul is dead.
The concept of an immortal soul stems back to ancient pagan Greek philosophy and is not a Bible teaching.

7 And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.
man came to be a living soul? Does it say man is a soul or a soul is in man?
Why would anyone think their dreams were " out of the body experience"? My mother tried to make me think that, but a dream is a dream, not an experience. The soul didn't go anywhere while dreams occurred.
At death, if man is a living soul what happens? Can a soul die?
Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
I can't see where a soul can leave it's body , because the person IS a living soul.
By the way I'm not a JW. I do study some with one.

In a Thomist/Aristotelean philosophy, the soul is the first actuality of a natural, organized being that is living potentially (see Aristotle's De Anima and Thomas's On the Unicity of the Intellect). Therefore, as long as there is a natural, organized, living being, it must have a soul. For the soul to leave would be the cessation of that being.

Only when you die. So the answer is NO. Not while you are living. Everything that is living will die -once. As long as your spirit which is the breath of God, remains in your body, your soul is in tact, for it takes a spirit and body to create a soul. Spirit is the breath-life, soul is the memory of things you have accumulated in this life. It is the sum total of your life.

"Does our soul sometimes leave our bodies Yes / No ???" -- Yes.
Advise? This never happened to me, sorry. No advise.
May be lay in bed or on the ground - so your head won't hit something as it falls after you leave? Don't leave your body while driving! Oh, lastly stay in class - no cheating either, looking at others test answers.

if you are talking about your casper ghost, then yes. there are recorded instances of out of body experiences. and in fact this is mentioned in scripture on some occasions, like with daniel when being visited by G-D. even i have had out of body experiences, in an ade in vietnam, and a few more of other times.

but actualy your soul is consided the summation of your knowledge, information and experiences which is recorded in your casper ghost recording device. and i am not going to even try to explain this, or how you can lose your soul. by having your casper recording device erased of all knowledge, and returned without any memory of the events, or prior existances.

No. Our bodies and soul are one until death or the second coming. At that point all will be resurrected and the ones that are alive will be transfigured in the twinkling of an eye. Never again will there be a seperation of the body and soul after the resurrection. =) Anything else?

To me that's a trick question. The Soul is actually a larger perspective than the physical form. However, consciousness leaves the body during sleep or impending pain. You can experience "out-of-body",which is what you may be referring to,in any case, relax and explore the new perspective. The Soul is what you are,and consciousness is a perceiving attribute.

No. The soul is the life of the individual or its life. It is also called your spirit, or the active force within you. When you die everything ends for you, you are conscious of nothing. The only hope left for you is that of a resurrection which will come for most of us after Satan and his system of things is put out of business....KECK

i do no longer think of so. i'm a spasmodic sleeper and flow in and out of sleep a lot, i do no longer think of my soul could have time to take a trip, particularly frankly. as properly i do no longer think interior the soul. i do no longer think of we people have something that contraptions us apart from the animal realm, and desires have not got a particular which potential - my canine desires. We dream of issues that symbolize what is going on in our techniques on the time. this is not your soul going to Australia and reporting back to you. this is daily reports or the failings we actually long for that we dream approximately, or the failings we concern.
