A friend of mine

First of all, you can't eliminate a problem by creating another problem. It doesn't make sense. What you need to do is confront each of the problems that you (or your friend, whatever) are having regardless of how difficult they are. That assumption of you sounds like you're depressed to me. Seek help by talking to someone you can trust like a friend, pastor, or a family member and let your thoughts out. See if that's going to help. I bet it WILL... surely...positively... better than the stupid alcohol idea. Open you're mind...I mean you're eyes!

GameGiver here with his drunk a##! Seriously, the problem with drinking is that it's so exalted in America. It's considered a rite of passage of sorts here, as opposed to, say, France, where they're putting wine in baby bottles. When you take the taboo off of doing something, it's a lot less fun. It's kind of like money; when a poor person gets rich he goes all out of his way to let you know he's rich, a rich person just lives life as usual. It's just what you're used to. GameGiver is so used to vodka he could be Russian!

From a recovering alcoholic, NO! It may mask the problems for a tiny bit but believe me alot bigger problems will come out later. Talk to your friend and see if you can get them to see a professional about their problems. Good luck.

Only if reality is the problem. Or perhaps, if you don't want a future, you can drink in the present and just eliminate it (the future). Please, be careful not to bet behind the wheel. You may not wish to have one, but we do.

I dont think drinking at all is good. it will jus start problems instead of ending them. you need to tell whoever it is to stop. especially if they are in their teens or early twenties.

Yes of course, but you must make sure you do it right by doing something stupid while you drink. Such as driving your car off a bridge. Ta-da no more problems!
