I give you a thumbs up on this. great question! I once worked with a lady who refused to accept a Christmas card but sure had her hand stuck out for her Christmas bonus. Don't you think those that don't believe would rather not have ANYTHING to do with the celebration of Christ birth or His Resurrection? And they call us hypocrites! Good one! Very good one!

Those two days are exactly like every other day on the calendar so why would I, as an atheist, complain if I had to work on those days?

I would only complain if giftmas fell on a weekend which is usually a regular day off for me anyway.

I work with a Jewish woman and she wouldn't work those days just on principle. Plus she wanted her special days off. I don't think anyone should complain if you are an atheist because it is a religious holiday.

Well now, I once had a boss who asked me "Are you Jewish?" And like a fool I replied No and he said.

Well, I guess that means only I will have Rosh Hasshana off this friday!

Atheists SHOULD NOT GET or TAKE religious holidays unless they STOP complaining about them.

If you are to be thankful of anything, be thankful WE gave you an extra day off, with pay!

Christmas comes from a pagan festival (for example the tree is a symbol for nature worship) and is a national holliday. Who cares about good friday? Easter is a celebration of spring, btw.

well i am a Pagan,

i celebrate my holidays on the days that i normaly have off and use vacation time for any that i am schedualed to work.

when i am not schedualed to work on a national or christian holiday, i usually offer to work for the people that are of that religion and would like to be with their families.

no, i complain that you have the day off and there's no good reason for it anymore than there is for not having to feed parking meters on holidays.
