Well I'm 5'5" and I'm presenting myself as a sample. As a short person, I used to have bad feelings about it in teenage. However, at a maturer stage, it turned out more to be faithful observing my advantages. During university time, I never felt a shortcoming complex at tall guys. In fact, tall guys mostly seemed less smart. The brightest students were usually my height. That made a lot of sense at this matter. In countless occasions, I see huge guys and small brains as single package.( Can we call that "The dinosaur effect" ...? :):) )

However, I suffer a different complex about height, yes - I like to be honest in what i say - That is: I am sexually attracted to very tall women. The contradictory fact of "a woman is tender but is higher than me" stimulates me. I believe this was the trace of disappointment about my height in my early age although I have no idea how it happened/Started.

Napoleon Complexes makes no sense, Its a frutile and stupid title for short men. If the "definition" of a man with a napoleon complex is a man who exhibit excessive aggression and maculinity and/or assholes because they are short. What do you name a taller man that show the same attitudes. There are many tall men that do the same exact thing. why dont they have a name.

Napoleon was actually of average height for his day (5'6").
The Napoleonic Complex is the same as an Inferiority Complex, you can find that description in the DSM-IV, which isn't available for free on line, but you can usually find it at your local public library.

It's something made up about short people to overpower them. It seems that a short man can not be what a tall man is, without people saying he acts like that because he's short. I've came across as many nice short men in life as tall men, the same goes for angry tall and short men. I am just above the national average for men, so I'm going off observances. There are many, many websites that talk about height, in general. Statistics showing the taller you are, the more money you make, ...

Most of hte time they do what every sort of generally insecure person does - try to cover it up. They relate height to power and thus they try to gain this power through other means like aggressiveness, over-zealousness in an activity, etc.

However, just because a man is short and hardworking/zealous doesnt mean he has a syndrome. Im relatively short but ive learned to deal with it. To tell the difference, one has to see whether he gets worked up if he is well..called short or if he has an intense dislike for failing.

Men with Napoleon complexes tend to feel like they need to be overly aggressive to make up for their "short" comings. They like to make people feel badly about themselves.

Nap. complexes are usually associated with men that are small in stature and they assume that people are always making fun of them, trying to take advantage of them, talking about them behind their backs, etc....They tend to be angry at the world and constantly trying to overcome this perceived short-coming by being the "up in your face"/confrontational type people.

It's basically the "little big man syndrome" - men feel inadequate with their physique and make up with it through their personality. As a nurse, I have worked with several doctors that meet these requirements, although I am sure men from all walks of life suffer from it. One doctor was called the "Chihuahua" because he was little but always barked his orders so everyone would hear him (so much for confidentiality!).

They're men whose self-esteem is low because they feel bad about being short.

The men with this complex are very dominating towards other people especially women.

They are usually loud and try to be the center of attention.

Until they learn to accept their height they won't have many friends.

They are extremely assertive (even aggressive) in an effort to overcome their lack of esteem from their short stature. You might be more successful in your research if you start with "inferiority complex" as this is just one of them.
