I need to find a dvd player that will work with the tv screen that came with my truck. I have a vcr but it does not work anymore I want to replace it with a dvd player that is DC powered but does not come with a screen. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I am sure your truck already has an inverter built into it already if it has a VCR built into it. Follow your power cord for the vcr and see if it plugs into a little box called a Power Inverter some where inside your truck. If it does'nt you'll have to buy one and install it which is very simple 2 wire installation red and black wires. Best bet would to buy the largest one you can afford so you can add on later if you decide to put a game station or some thing else in later. Once you either find the one in your truck or install one then just buy which ever dvd player you want from any place you want and plug it into your tv or switcher if you plan on keeping the vcr also and then adding a game station later. It would be easier to add a switcher while you have the wires and every thing already already opened and exposed.

You do know it doesn't have to be DC. You can get an inverter (changes 12Vdc to 120VAC, house current) to power one. Just be sure the wattage of the inverter will supply enough to power the DVD.
