Why is it that a guy (Who I believe likes me), would usually send me text messages to check on me or something, instead of calling? & how should I handle this

He definitely likes you...Here's a secret from the "guy book"...
He's afraid of the dead conversation. He may seem fine while YOU are talking but sometimes a shy guy (I'm proof) will just go blank and not know what to talk about when face to face with the one he likes. Trust me...He needs you to be a little forward. Force a meeting place. Maybe meet at a movie and then you can just hang out afterwards.

Some people are just more comfortable texting than talking. It eliminates that awkward silence, eliminates sounds you don't want people to hear (moms yelling, toilet flushing, etc..), you can do other things more comfortably than if you were on the phone, and you cant text many more people at the same time, rather than having all their voices on the phone.

Maybe he likes you but isnt sure that u like him. Instead of calling he sends text's becuz he thinks that if he calls u too much he will chase u away.

Maybe because when he does call you are a bit long winded. Or maybe he just doesn't know what to say. Just appreciate the fact that he thinks enough about you to check on you.

Laziness, make him take the time to call you. Don't let him slide by with little effort and get any of your attention.

I think this is a new trend, but it shouldn't be acceptable to build a relationshp.

...Do you have a problem with it ? because usually in our world today texting is the new calling. If you have a problem with it let him know that you find calling more heartfelt .

If he's shy or thinks you may be busy, it's probably easier to do this. Next time he texts, reply back with.. "call me =)"
