I let my mama dogs decide when to wean the pups, some will wean them at six weeks, some at 8 weeks and some will let them nurse as long as they want. I start introducing food to them at about 5 weeks, or 4 weeks if it is a large litter. I keep the pups until they are at least 8 weeks old.

No, at the least they shouldn't be seperated until 8 weeks, because the mothers milk builds up their lil immune systems to help them fight off diseases. BUT, they should not be seperated until 12 weeks cause they learn certain things from their mothers. It's been proven puppies who spend more time in their litters, they adapt better to change, are less animal/human aggressive, better with seperation anxiety, eaisier to potty train and train period. So for the puppy's health, he shouldn't be seperated until at least 8 weeks, but for overall health and happiness, no sooner than 12 weeks.

Puppies should not be separated from their mother and littermates before 8 weeks of age. Many recommend 10 weeks minimum. This is related to physical considerations such as weaning and psychological considerations such as the puppy's readiness to leave the litter

The puppy can usually eat on their own, but they learn so many manners from momma dog from 6-8+ weeks. I wouldn't take my American Eskimo puppy before 10 weeks as I wanted her to have that additional time with momma and the litter.

No - the pups not only learn from Mom at this age but also from its siblings; they learn their social skills at this time - don't short change them ; give them and let them have the time needed ; it will be hard enough on them when they are parted; make sure to give or get something , piece of cloth , something with the scent of their Mom and siblings and some familiar things , same type of toy etc to ease transition.

6 is ok but 8 is better
the main thing is not to remove a pup from its home until it is vaccinated.. and even then you should wait 3 days for the vaccination to kick in

No! I would wait until 8 weeks. Better safe than sorry. You really want to avoid emotional detachment!
