I mean there are all kinds of godly figures in the world, but why a monkey? and there are some other ones where the things have many hands and feet or even 10 heads. Is there a logic to this whole mythology?

Because in christanity there is only one and he is human.

The story is called the Ramayana. Unlike Christians, Hindus have the bizarre notion that there might be things on earth other than humans that are worthwhile creatures. Western civilization, of course, knows better than this. We don't worry when we hunt species to extinction, when we cut down entire forests, when we build dams that cause lakes and rivers to dry up, when we release so much toxic vapor into the air that the atmosphere becomes poisonous. We know that humans are the only being on earth that matters. Well, not even humans, actually. Just human souls after death. We know that life on earth doesn't matter because our real home is floating in the clouds. Full of jet exhaust.

The story of Hanuman is very very old...on the thresholds of evolution of man

When Rama had to conquer the demon Ravana he was helped by Hanuman who was a transitory between man and ape, perhaps the missing link

Hindus worship Hanuman not as GOD but as God's faithful servant.

With a narrow-minded relgion, we cant understand the greatness of Hinduism.

Hinduism is a very ancient and sophisticated faith that understands both the absolute unity of God, and, the possibility for God to be preceived in endless numbers of ways, even including a figure of mythic dimensions like Hanuman.

isn't there more logic to something we know exists, like the monkey, than a concept of a thing in the sky flying around and stuff.
