if you are using it for long amounts of time, or have it in poor light, or are sitting incorrectly or if you may need glasses if your eyes are weak.

Yes, computer screens can be hard on the eyes. Though less so now than when computers first became common.

Try using a different background, one that won't glare so much. And remember to take a break from the machine regularly.

I get frequent headaches behind my eyes when i am on the computer alot
take breaks
choose backgrounds that are more soothing..like light greens,etc.
back pain as well, but a nice comfy leather desk chair with arms and a nice backrest help alot too

I would get a check up and see if you need glasses. It's possible you are squinting when trying to read text and you are unaware you are doing it.
