I make 42,000 a year and I live in Hawaii which is very expensive. I have 4 other people living in my household and 3 of them are children. I work 60 hours a week and I have no time for anything. I am always barely making it every month. How do you people survive and taking care of 3 children?? There are soo many times I just want to quit.

Sounds like someone is really STRESSED -OUT !!!! Take a deep breath and put yourself in time-out. You feeling like this is not doing the children in your household any good either. Have you tried just setting on the floor and playing with the children, that always makes me feel better, 'cuz they love it when we are silly and they do not judge us, they just love us unconditionally. Which by the way sounds like you really love your children and are trying to do the best for them but at the same time stressing yourself out to the limit. Are there things you and your family could go without that you are presently giving them.?? Would that make it possible for you to work fewer hours?? My husband works at least 60 hours a week, BUT it is a job he loves, he owns a body shop/towing business. So, he is also on call everynight and weekends. You say you want to quit at times. SORRY, you can not quit raising your children and since you are on this site I don't think you really want to... Hopefully just venting may help you... EVERYONE gets stressed-out now and then. Just when you think you have reached your breaking point things seem to change or the way you look at things that seem impossible changes. All the sudden it is bearable again =) Good luck and since you asked this question I am sure you will do just fine.

You could move from Hawaii - it is one of the most expensive places to live, and pay isn't usually good because they feel they pay in "sun dollars" - I had a job offer from Queens Hospital, a 3 year commitment, less money than I made here, and I'd have to sell my house, my 2 vehicles, and move into a basement flat - no thanks.

move away from hawaii, yes it's beautiful but there are many other beautiful places in this world(and less exlpencive). no one should have to work that much you shoudl be allowed to live a little and you shouldnt have to work so long in order to do so

Don't give up.

Life in Hawaii is hard but these situations are only temporary. Family is forever. Be strong bro.

Aloha.

Did a hole in the ground about 10 ft. wide and 7 ft. deep, then move in there (with or without your family-your choice) and live on canned soup.

That way its cooler in the summer and warmer in the summer and hey- no electric bills! :)
