firstly, if she is not spayed, get her done. Then when you take her for walks, put a baskerville mizzle on her. Th8s ensure that she never damages anyone or anything and as a result of knowing this, you relax, which helps her relax. Then simply walk her as usual and the minute she shows signs of aggression, sharply turn the opposite direction and praise her. You need to do this at least once a day meeting lots of dogs. Eventually, if you get to the stage where she shows no aggression, praise her like crazy. It sounds as though YOU got stressed when she was attacked, and so when other dogs approached afterwards, you tensed up which she picked up on and hence thought there was something to worry about.
I really think some general obedience classes would be helpful as you will be guided by an experienced trainer, meet other dogs and even allow the trainer to handle your dog and I bet she doesn't react since the trainer will be confident and in charge and your dog recognises this and will relax.
You get tense, you expect her to attack, she feels the tension and wades right in to attack because she thinks that you are scared and she needs to protect you. YOU need to learn how to relax and a proper trainer will help show you that she doesn't attack every dog she meets, only your tension is making her do it.
Ask your vet and look in local papaers fro some training classes which are normally held once a week in the evening and only costs a couple of pounds to go to.

You will have moved to a brand new dwelling for him and this took him out of his home. He feel not noted in a way and wants to be shown it is okay for folks to stroll by using without him barking. Realize additionally that when a dog growls or tries to bit any individual he feels they cannot be trusted. Think on your dog, they're traditionally right. I've had puppies all my lifestyles and every person of them has the same instinct. That you could go to your vet and buy what they name an animal trainer. It puts off a excessive sound, which you can't hear. This will support. Use it each time the dog does anything you do not what it to together with a one word command. That you could additionally use a rolled newspaper on the nostril in the event you have to. The sound the paper makes scares the dog however will not hurt him/her. You can also have to are attempting obedience tuition too. Take into account anything you do continually let the canine comprehend you like him.

My suggestion?
1) I strongly disagree with the electric shock therapy. A higher percentage will actually become more aggressive than less aggressive with this.
2) Go talk to a good puppy/dog training person. (a professional that does it for a living - not the local puppy mill store). They will be able to actually see your dog and interact with it. They will have much better advice than any of us here.
3) It may be that your dog will never ever trust another dog again. I know I wouldn't! I suggest keeping the critter on a leash - for her safety and the others. Heck.. all dogs could snap at the wackiest of things.. I'd imagine that's why we have leashes and leash laws :)

We have a 5 yr old pit/lab mix and he is a sweet heart..he was attacked pretty bad by a chow a year ago and he was aggressive towards other dogs for awhile too. To get him to stop my husband would hold him tightly when we were out walking and other dogs came around. He would just pet him and make him feel secure. Foe us this seems o have have worked. He now only gets aggresive when he feels threatened but he won't go after them. You could try that or talk to a professional dog trainer. Go to Pet Smart...they have trainers on the weekends that you can just go and ask questions. Good luck!

Probably, just keep interacting with her. She was hurt once, and won't be bullied. The puppy is accepted by her, but she will let the pup know SHE is the boss, and drawing blood on her own sister, well, was it play or a real fight? Accceptance of your new pet is normal, she sees it as part of the family. Remember JRT's are skiddish to begin with, and mixed with Yorkie, always needs attention. Slowly introduce them all, it will work. If not, suggest doggie school or an electric collar, when she acts up....ZAP. But, make her really feel wanted and interact with her, then include the others at a slow pace. It takes alot of time and patience. Running free is not a good idea. A pet should be leashed when walked, and as far as her yard, be sure she can't get out. they love to dig and JRT's are great escape artists. If she should get in a fight again, be sure all dogs involved are vaccinated and think about getting her a booster rabies shot. Best of Luck, hope this helps you.

I had a dog that was attacked by a bigger dog, after that I could not let him off the lead when larger dogs were around. It's a fear thing, they feel threatened afterwards. Maybe dog training might help build your dog's confidence again?

Terrier breeds tend to be dog aggressive. You will probably never be able to fully trust her around most dogs ever again. And never leave her unsupervised around the dogs she is currently getting along with, because she may change her mind about them.

I would consider getting the help of a professional trainer that specializes in behavioral issues. They will be able to analyze your pets personality and develop a training program with that personality in mind.
