i need help/advice on how to lose weight. i'm 16 years old, 5'10", and weigh like180 lbs. i really need to lose wieght. i have that bump on my lower abs, and love handles, and i can't stand either. one main problem is that i like love junk food, and pretty much pig out all of the time. how do i stop? how do i make myself hate junk food.? i guess that's my main question. is it even possible to make yourself hate junk food? i hope so. and also, how do you speed up your metabolism??

I can't think of anything to make you hate junk food. I am in the same boat as far as loving junk food and not needing to eat it. The biggest thing for you is going to be will power. What I do is allow myself to eat junk food only one day out of the week. Tell yourself you will let yourself eat junk food every Saturday (or whatever day you want it to be). One, it gives you something to look forward to, and two, it will drastically cut down your junk food intake. As far as speeding up you metabolism, green tea has been shown to increase your metabolism. Don't forget to exercise too. It can be something as simple as walking around the block with a friend or family member. I calculated your body mass index (a measure of you weight to your body size) and you are on the very edge of overweight.. it should not be difficult to lose that... i too share your love of junk food.. if you really can't stop i'd try exercising and just trying to cut down a little... also what i would do is taking something really tasteless and healthy like carrots or something and just pig out on those and then u won't be hungry for junk food..

You can't really speed up your metabolism much, sorry to say. Tell your parents how much it bothers you and ask them to stop buying junk food is my only suggestion. And get a little regular excersise, even if it's just a little bit. Like walk the dog every morning or something like that (if you can).

okay there is a as to make you hate junk food read the ingredients on the food labels!Do research on what they actually put in junk food!And taste different fruit and you would stop eating on junk food so much!Try honey Due Melon it is so sweet soft and juicy and it is still healthy for you!Just think like this one chip is worth almost 100 pounds added to your weight if you eat the whole bag how much will you weigh then!

Hey there,
If you want to be turned off junk food then watch supersize me, if that doesnt work then think of this everytime you want to have junk. That food will be there after you've lost as much weight as you want, you can have it after you've lost it as a sometimes food. Its okay to have junk food around once a month. Also excercise. if you do pig out exercise it off the next day.

You could see a doc for appetite suppresant pills. But its not suited for everyone, so get medical advice. It'll reduce your overall intake. I don't know how u can make yourself hate junk food but eat more homecooked stuff, it'll help. Get your friends to help remind u to stay off junk food when you order lunch.

y can't you go to the gym or make a fitness routine of your own like dancing to your fave tunes for 35minutes a day running up and down the stairs or round your block you could also replace snacks like chocolate with fruit
