Keracare setting lotion is best, normally takes my shoulder length hair 4-6 hours to dry

Depending on the length of your hair, it can take from 20 minutes to 2 hours for a full head of rollered hair to dry. I'd recommend Fast Dry Sculpting Spray by Paul Mitchell to set your hair, keep it damp, roller your hair and spray over the whole lot, it can then be used after to keep it curly.
