I just had a break up this past May that I thought was going to destroy me. This guy was my EVERYTHING...Thus THAT was the problem...NEVER make somebody your EVERYTHING because when they are gone you have NOTHING...That's how I have been feeling. I have found that staying active and surrounding myself with family and friends has worked wonders for me...also, dating is fun...try internet dating, but follow the rules. Helping others by voleenteering, also, helps you with a broken heart. The key here is DO SOMETHING...STAY ACTIVE. Go to church, go to a club, join ''something''. Everytime you think of your past boyfriend, tell yourself STOP...And then replace that thought of your boy friend with other thoughts of other people, places, and things...soon, your broken heart will be healed. Also, time really does help heal broken hearts.

Trust me your not going crazy! Your feelings are normal. Maybe you haven't given yourself enough time to greive over the loss of your relationship with him,to come to terms with it ending. You will find that even once you do, you may still miss him from time to time. He may always hold a special place in your heart but in time you will be able to move on and be happily in love with another. Try to stay busy and don't continue to do things that remind you of him. You will only torture yourself. If you are not truly over him (and let's face it, your not) it would not be fair to the guy that you try to hook up with or to yourself. I'm sure you have some great qualities and alot to offer in a relationship but wait until you've given yourself enough time to heal. Good luck to you!

If in fact he was your first true love you will never get entirely over him. With time and other relationships he will fade but will never completely go away. This is OK but let it be your secret, don't share or compare any new relationships with that of this first love. Life goes on and be thankful you have this memory to draw strength from.

I don't know if we ever get over our first loves. I'm not over mine and I haven't seen him since I was 17. Now, I'm 51. He's still on my mind, and I love him as much as I ever did, but life goes on. I just like to pull out the memories sometimes. Time will heal the pain.

Give yourself some time. Things will get better with time. You think you're going crazy but you aren't. Everybody has gotten over their first love and you will too.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!1

it's normal....all first loves are hard to get over. just tell urself, it's time to move on with life, get a new bf to take ur mind off of him...don't take thinking about him in a bad way.....take it as just a rememberance of those days with him....smile when ur reminded of him, it will take tons of pressure off of ur back, think possitive and keep on living!

Look at it as a new opportunity. If things don't click then you're wasting your time. How else would you know Mr.Right if you never been with Mr. Wrong?

I've been in this situation nefore, luckily, I found someone new. You've just gotta try not to think about him. Keep going out with these new guys you've met and maybe someone will click with you! :)
Hope this helps!
